Derek was raised in north Idaho and attended North Idaho College on the lake shores of Coeur d'Alene.  He then transferred down to the University of Idaho where he received his Masters of Architecture.  With a background in both landscape and construction, he is now working towards completing his internship credits and obtaining an architectural license.
